Name: Curtain Call, or CC (Ceci) for short!
Gender: mare
Age: adult, early 20s
Generation: Friendship is Magic
Species: unicorn
Location: resides in Ponyville~
Status: Single, & she doesn't see that changing - she's aware of how overbearing she can be, and she likes it that way!
Appearance: About average build, with a peachy pink/hot pink mane pulled back in a ponytail and bright pink eyes. She's a dusty brown in color with a cutie mark of two tickets on her flank, and almost always seen levitating either her Bible (her prompt book) or a clipboard around her wherever she goes.
Personality: As ponies in the theatre business usually are, CC is assertive and often hard to please when it comes to opening night. Enough is never enough, and "your best" almost always translates to "can use improvement." She's a fast talker, since she's the one giving orders on show night, and when she's peeved, everypony knows it. Her bossy demeanor is softened only by her obvious passion for the arts, and when a good show comes together, she practically melts into putty. Outside of work she's an entirely different mare: she's calmer, for one, and she's always seen with a smile. Her interests include baking and napping, and she always brings left-over baked goods to her staff at the theatre. (And then she yells at them.) Stick a headset on this girl and you're in for it. Backstage, she's a force to be reckoned with, and she knows that she puts a lot of ponies on edge - and she likes that! Her motto is if you can't handle the screams, don't go behind the scenes, and she's notorious in the theatre world for forcing the slackers on concession duty.
History: CC's résumé dates back to her days as a filly, when she started her career in as an actor and not as a stagehoof. When she was little, she did countless shows in Canterlot, including her lead roles in The Princess and the Pickle and Little Red Trotting Hoof, both of which were performed for Princess Celestia herself. Although she started off in acting, she quickly realized a passion she felt for stage construction - the day a piece fell and nearly squished somepony! After that she took up stage crew, doing all kinds of jobs from lighting, to sound, to rigging, props, scene building, and movement. After years of physical work, she was promoted to Assistant Stage Manager (ASM), and experienced first hoof what it was like to actually help make the show work - and she fell in love. After that, she jumped up to Production Stage Manager, and since the day the prompt book touched her hooves, she never let it go. She levitates her bible where ever she goes on set, reading from it into her headset or shouting commands across the stage to her crew. Her job involves everything from calling cues to reading lines to actors off book, and although it's the most demanding job in theatre, she's invigorated by it.
After years of working on shows in Canterlot (including the famous Hearth's Warming Eve pageant performed annually), she's taken a break from big-time premieres to vacation in Ponyville, where she's heard that one of the Princess's protégés Twilight Sparkle lives. Upon finding out that the town had a theater (albeit it being a small one), she immediately demanded a meeting with Mayor Mare and was hired that same evening. How could the Mayor say no when she showed with a stallion-sized résumé and obvious lack of an indoor voice!?
Although it's unlike the great big glamorous theatres she's worked in all across Equestria, she's awfully fond of the tiny little thing, and wouldn’t trade it for anything else. Now if only she could get the stagehooves to learn that she runs a tight ship, maybe they'd be able to put on a show for once!
Other: Ever since adopting the theatre as her own, she's also adopted a house on the outside of town. Keyword, "adopted." Nopony seemed to be living there, so she moved her stuff on in and that's where she sleeps at night. She almost feels bad for the poor sucker who's gonna tell her to move out, and hey, even the neighbors like her. (She bribes them with cookies!)
Did you read the rules?: Yup, and I brought the scones!
